Hey there! This week we are all about inspiration. You know, some girls have had a dream of exactly what their wedding day will look like since they were eight years old and playing dress-up. And then some girls get engaged, buy a couple of copies of Bride’s and Martha Stewart Weddings magazines, log on to Style Me Pretty……and become majorly overwhelmed! Color schemes, favors, themes, flowers, there are so many pieces to think about! What do you do when everything looks beautiful but you don’t know how to narrow down your options into one cohesive vision?
One tool that I offer my brides is a custom inspiration book. The first step is to fill out an extensive (but not ridiculous) questionnaire about you and your groom’s unique history and style and to provide me with any images or ideas that you have collected so far. Then Sugar(ed) gets to work, scouring our database and the web for just the right mix of photos to turn your jumbled wish list into the wedding of your dreams. It comes packaged in a keepsake book (along with the digital files) to share with your family, friends and especially your vendors, so that everyone involved with the wedding understands your vision for the best party of your life!
I recently completed a book based on a black, white and green, modern, Miami wedding. The emphasis was on sleek lines, striped accents, white callas and above all, an amazing party. Check it out:

After looking at so many fabulous images of black and white weddings, I was inspired to come up with an entirely new image board, a little less modern and a little more classic glam. I love how black and white, paired with one strong color (green in this case) offer a really fresh, clean and sophisticated vibe to a wedding. It’s timeless but modern at the same time. Black and white would look great with cobalt blue, deep magenta, metallics…..almost anything, really! Love it!
Stay Sweet,
Miranda
