etsy find of the week–episode 67

It’s all girly goodness today for our Etsy Find of the Week!  It’s no secret I love fun jewelry and good deal, so when I spied Sage K and Co, I was totally smitten.  When I found out that they’re located in Lexington, Kentucky, (Go Cats!) and they are offering 20% off right now, I fell in love.  My favs are the mint enamel bracelet and the pink pavé link bracelet.  Arm candy!

Happy Friday!

gatsby inspiration of a different color

Blame it on high school English, but whenever I think of The Great Gatsby, those beautiful shirts of Gatsby’s always come to mind first.

“He took out a pile of shirts and began throwing them one by one before us, shirts of sheer linen and thick silk and fine flannel which lost their folds as they fell and covered the table in many-colored disarray. While we admired he brought more and the soft rich heap mounted higher – shirts with stripes and scrolls and plaids in coral and apple green and lavender and faint orange with monograms of indian blue. Suddenly with a strained sound Daisy Bent her head into the shirts and began to cry stormily. “They’re such beautiful shirts,” she sobbed, her voice muffled in the thick folds. “It makes me sad because I’ve never seen such beautiful shirts before.”

The tale isn’t exactly a love story, but one thing you can take out of it; the right clothes can create a new man.  Clothes tell the story of who we are to the world and on your wedding day all eyes are on you.  If you’re a white shirt kind of guy, have one custom made for you.  If you’re not, go wild!  Color, print, stripes; have fun and express your personality.

Everyone loves a beautiful shirt.

let’s start a trend! {studio engagement sessions}

Dear Engaged Couples:  Fields, farms and the beach are so played out!  Get yourselves to a studio for an engagement session that feels both modern and timeless and makes you look straight out of the pages of Vogue, à la Lauren Bush and David Lauren.  I’m always struck by the beauty of these simple sessions, the lighting, the fashion….portrait perfection.
